Hollywood actress, Emma Stone , 28, is 2017’s highest-paid actress, according to Forbes.
Her portrayal of Mia, an aspiring actress and barista, in ‘La La Land’ landed her good ratings that enabled the movie to make $445.3 million at the global box office.
This, in turn, skyrocketed Stone’s earnings from the movie-musical, banking $26 million pre-tax in a one year.
Stone, who won best actress Academy Awards for her role in the movie, beat 48-year-old Jennifer Aniston who was at number two position with earnings of $25.5 million.
Earnings estimates are based on data from Nielsen, ComScore, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders.
The list examined actresses the world over, but no movie stars from Asia and Africa made the cut.
