Former Manchester United and Wales star, Ryan Giggs and his estranged wife Stacey have finally ended their divorce battle today.
As expected, she was granted a decree nisi during the brief proceedings in central London.
The couple separated in May 2016, after it was revealed the former Manchester United star had cheated on his wife with several women, including having an 8year affair with his brother's wife which ended the marriage.
Since the couple separated, they have been involved in proceedings in the Family Division of the High Court in London relating to the division of marital assets.
A judge was expected is be asked to decide at a future hearing on how big a share of the marital assets Mrs. Giggs would get if an agreement was not reached in the £40m divorce battle.
Giggs estrange wife has previously said she wants the divorce court fight over money to end as ''swiftly and amicably as possible''.
Ryan Giggs retired as a player in the summer of 2014 and subsequently worked as United's interim manager for a short spell. Before he retired he made 963 appearances for United and won 64 Welsh international caps.
