Crowds of people gathered today ,in Banjul capital city of the Gambia in jubilation to welcome the President Adama Barrow who was sworn at the Gambia's embassy in Senegal. Adama Barrow had won the elections in December but the former President Yahya Jammeh had..
refused to step down leading to political tension in The Gambia. Many of Gambia's citizen fled the country in fear of a civil unrest. Jammeh reluctantly left Gambia after persuasion from the Government of neighbouring countries like Equatorial Guinea and pressure from The Ecowas forces.
The people of Gambia took to the street to express their happiness and expectations from the new President Adama Barrow.
