Liver conditions since December. He was said to have died peacefully as confirmed by his family. Lundi was very much loved in South Africa for his energetic performance and for the fact that he brought gospel music close to the younger generation.
President Jacob Zuma in his tribute to the star has said that "Tyamara was one of the best gospel artists the country has ever produced." Lundi Tyamara died at age 38.
