The abductors of The Permanent Secretary of the Ondo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Niran Ikuomola, have decided to negotiate terms with the family of the victims.
The abductor are now demanding for the sum of N20million, a reduction from the earlier N70 million they requested for, as at the day he was kidnapped, Punch reports.
Ikuomola, was on his way to Abuja for an official assignment before he and his driver were ambushed by the kidnappers along the Lokoja- Abuja expressway on Sunday.
Shortly after he was kidnapped, the abductors called the family and demanded for a ransom of N70 million.
Reports say the kidnappers have once again contacted the doctor's wife on Thursday via the telephone and demanded for the new ransom (N20 million).
Meanwhile, the Governor of the State, Rotimi Akeredolu has shown concern and has asked the relevant authorities to intervene and ensure the release of the victims.
