Obasanjo's Son Finally Gets Married Despite His Mother's Warnings

The son of the former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, and the daughter of Kessington Adebutu, popularly known as Baba Ijebu, celebrated their traditional marriage on Thursday, at the Federal Palace hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.


The mother of the groom and the wife of the ex- president, Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo, had earlier called for the cancellation of the union between her son and the bride because according to her, their wedding will spell doom as it will lead to disaster and deaths in the country.

She had also said she received prophesies that her son should not be involved in any elaborate celebration before his 34th birthday on June1.

The event was well attended by politicians, business mogul, traditional leaders, friends and well wishers.
The white wedding between Olujowon Obasanjo and Tope Adebutu is scheduled for Saturday May 13th.
