In a joint statement issued on Monday, over growing concerns about the President's health, Femi Falana, (SAN) and Leaders of other human rights bodies in Nigeria, have called on President
Mohammadu Buhari, to proceed on medical leave.

"As we join Nigerian people of goodwill to pray for a speedy recovery of President Buhari, we are compelled to advise him to heed the advice of his personal physicians by taking a rest to attend to his health without any further delay", they wrote.

Channels Tv reports, that the rights bodies explained that, the call was made based on observation that since the arrival of the President to the country, from his medical vacation in UK and notwithstanding repeated claims and assurance  by the President's aide that there was no need to worry about the President's health, he seems not to have fully recovered.
