A total of six alleged pro-gay cartoons for kids being aired on Nickelodeon (DSTV 305) and Cartoon Network (DSTV 301) have been banned by The Kenya Film
Classification Board (KFCB).

KFCB ordered Multichoice to immediately stop airing the cartoons on DSTV  that is "normalizing or glamourizing or even glorifying homosexual behaviour" and damaging " family".

According to the censor board, The Nickelodeon cartoons from Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Afriva), such as Loud House, The Legend of Korra and Hey Arnold, as well as the Cartoon Network shows Steven Universe, Adventure Time and Clarence from Turner Broadcasting have contravened classification guidelines.

In a statement, the KFCB  stated that these cartoons are "intended to introduce children to deviant behaviour." They  are"obnoxious and inappropriate material" which targets children and seek to impair their moral judgement on the institution of family."

KFCB boss, Ezekiel Mutua said the board has written to Multichoice to immediately stop airing the cartoons.
