Lagos State Government Declares Monday, June 12 A Public Holiday

Lagos State Government has joined states such as, Ogun and Osun and Ondo States in declaring Monday, June 12, a public holiday.


A statement signed by the Secretary to State Government,Tunji Bello, on behalf of Akinwunmi Ambode the state governor, said that the state is committed to the ideals of the annulled June 12 , 1993 presidential elections.

Ambode, said that 24 years after, the ideals of June 12 commemoration  are worth celebrating as it  greatly nurtured Nigeria's democracy.
