Eat These Fruits To Help Fight High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is a medical condition whereby, a person's a heart pumps blood, using excessive force. The blood flows through the arteries at a higher than normal  pressure. This increased pressure, makes the heart work harder
than required thereby, making the heart become weak.

If this condition is left unattended to, it could lead to serious complications such  heart attack, kidney disease, stroke or even death.

There are so many people, who are hypertensive and are unaware of it, because high blood pressure  does not really have its symptoms, that is why it is popularly called the 'silent killer'.
However, when a person continuously feel severe headaches, weakness or  low/ shortness of breath, it is advised to seek  medical help.

High blood pressure also known as hypertension, could be hereditary, as a result of lifestyle, pregnancy in women or medication.

Even though there are medications, which have been proven to help manage hypertension effectively, there are some fruits which are also effective in helping to fight high blood pressure.

Most of the everyday fruits we see around, contain disease fighting nutrients and are helpful in fighting medical conditions such as high blood pressure. However, these fruits do not in any way replace your medication or doctors' advice.
Some of the fruits that can help fight high blood pressure include:

Bananas:They are known to be very effective in lowering blood pressure.






Oatmeal: It is one of the most recommended food for those suffering from high blood pressure.Oats are an ideal breakfast meal.



Apples: Do go for an apple a day to keep blood pressure in check.



Watermelon: This fruit has been confirmed to lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke.


Tomatoes: They are great blood pressure fighting food.



Green peas: Contains protein,fibre , Magnesium, Iron and anti oxidants that help lower blood pressure.


Mangoes: This very sweet fruit contain vitamins that help reduce blood pressure.



Dark Chocolate: Just the right snack to lower blood pressure.



Carrots:Not only are they ideal for lowering the risk of hypertension and stroke, carrots are also good for your kidney and liver.




Red wine: If  you need to give yourself a treat, grab a glass of red wine, its excellent for your health.

  2. Hi Ify I have had high blood pressure most of my life but like you said I never new I had until i was about 15 years old, I was constantly getting headaches and not feeling well. Anyway I have been searching around for a while now to try and find things to help lower my blood pressure and this has really helped thank you!
