Moji Olaiya: Fans Condemn Sale Of T- Shirts For Burial

Several criticisms has followed plans to sell commemorative T-shirts to mark the burial of late Nollywood actress Moji Olaiya.


The announcement was made by the burial committee on Friday while unveiling the burial plans for the actress who passed on in Canada on 17 May, 2017, following complications arising from the birth of her baby girl.

The Publicity Secretary, for the committee Mr Yomi Fabiyi, said people interested in participating in the burial which will commence on Tuesday, 6 June, can buy the branded T-shirts which cost N1,500 each, Daily Post reports.

However, this sale of T-shirts contradicts the message in the obituary published by the committee, asking mourners and sympathisers to wear black outfits for the two- day event which will conclude with the interment at Ikoyi Cemetery.

The corpse is expected to arrive Lagos from Canada on 6 June, the service of songs is scheduled for the same day at 4pm at the Blue Roof LTV 8, Ikeja Lagos.

Lying- in- state and interment will follow on Wednesday 7 June at Ebony Vault. Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos.
