Actor Bill Cosby who has been facing trial on allegation of sexual assault, walked out of a US court today a free man.
The seven man and five women jury deliberating on his case failed to reach a unanimous decision leading the judge to declare a mistrial, BBC reports.
The 79-year old comedian is being accused of drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. His lawyers however, argued the sex was consensual.
Though Cosby walks out of court free, prosecution say they are going ahead with a fresh trial.
The judge while announcing the decision, reminded Mr Cosby that he is still charged and on bail despite the mistrial.
