Borussia Dortmund Bus Attack: Letter Found At The Scene Of Incident

A letter has been found near the scene of yesterdays blast. The police however, are investigating the authenticity of the letter.


German Newspaer, Suddeutsche Zeitung, said the letter which began with the phrase, "In the name of Allah" referenced Germany's use of Tornado jets in the coalition forces fighting so -called Islamic State, (IS). The attack which it said was carried out on a Christmas market in Berlin.

Suddeutsche  Zeitung reports that it is possible that the letter is an attempt to mislead investigators adding that experts will analyse the letter soon.

The bus carrying Borussia Dortmund team to the stadium for a champions league first leg match against AS Monaco was hit yesterday, by a blast from three explosives.

The incident which took place at Hoechsten, outside the city had the windows of the bus shattered and tyres burst.

Spain International defender, Marc Bartra sustained an injury on his hand from the blast and had to undergo an operation on Tuesday.

The German police are weighing all possibilities to the cause of the blast, as investigations are going on.
