Ivanka Trump Defends Father, At G20 Women's Summit In Berlin

President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump, was booed at the women's G20 summit held in Berlin, Germany as she defended her father's attitude towards women, CNN reports.


The First daughter who was invited by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, took part  in a panel discussion on female entrepreneur alongside IMF Chief, Christine Lagarde.

The audience, where however not impressed by Ms Trump's praise of her father as they responded with audible groans when she said he was a "tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive."

Mr Trump, has been widely criticised over his attitude towards women, especially during the presidential elections.

Ms Trump said although, she "heard the criticism from the media and that has been perpetuated," she did not see her father in the description nor would the thousands of women he had employed over the years.

"He encouraged me and enabled me to thrive. I grew up in a house where there were no barriers to what I could accomplish," she added.
