Ile -Ife Clash: 15 Out Of 21 Indigenes Released By Police

Fifteen out the twenty one people arrested by the Police in connection with the ethnic clash which occured in Ile -Ife between Hausas and their Yoruba host on March 8, have been released.

Vanguard reports that a traditional ruler, Oba Ademola Ademiluyi and five others were still being held hostage.

According to the National Secretary of Afenifere, ( The Pan Yoruba Socio- Political organisation), Yinka Odumakin, said the fifteen people were released around 4p.m unconditionally  to a member of the defense lawyers Ropo Oyewole.

Odumakin said "We are awaiting the release of the remaining six indigenes and we also demand their unconditional release too."
