Two Turkish Citizens And A Polytechnic Proprietor Abducted In Akwa Ibom State

 News Agency of Nigeria reports that, The Akwa Ibom State Command has confirmed  the abduction of two expatriates from Turkey and a Polytechnic Proprietor by unknown gunmen in Akwa Ibom State, South East Nigeria.


The expatriates who are construction workers  were abducted from their hotel rooms on Sunday in Eket , Eket Local Government Area of  the State.

The police have been able to identify the expatriates and say they work for BSK Construction company in Onna Local government area of the State.

The command also confirmed the abduction of Mr Idongesit Udom, the proprietor of Sure Foundation Polytechnic, Ukanafun, who was abducted  while he was in a church.

The Public relations Officer of the Command, ASP Chukwu Okechukwu said" The State Police command is working tirelessly to rescue the expatriates. The commissioner of Police has mobilized the anti-kidnapping unit and a special anti- crime unit to ensure they are freed  unhurt."
