Image result for husband and wife getting divorced

Mr Sunday Okafor, a 43- year old man, has told an Igando Customary court in Lagos, that he was forced into committing adultery because his wife is dirty and does not wash her body for days .

Mrs Adetola, a 40- year old trader who  asked the court to dissolve their 13-year -old marriage cited unfaithfulness on the part of her husband as her reason.

She accused her husband, Sunday Okafor, before the court of marrying another woman without her knowledge.
According to her " My husband always travels to his village in the name of visiting his brother, not knowing that he had married an Igbo woman, because I am Yoruba.

"I got to know about his secret marriage when he forgot his wallet at home, I opened it and found several bank deposit slips he used to send money to her.

"I searched for her name on Facebook and I found several pictures of the woman, my husband with their baby displayed on her Facebook page, When I showed my husband the pictures, he did not deny it.

"My husband has rented an apartment for his new wife, very close to our house, she explained.

The mother of three said she has been paying the rent and paying for the children's school fees since they got married also, she has been providing for her husband's material needs since, he has been jobless and is still jobless.

Mr Okafor, however told the court that he was pushed into adultery by his wife's dirtiness and that she does not give him peace nor happiness.

" My wife is very dirty, she does not wash or sweep the house, everywhere in the house smells. She keeps plates of food for four days or more and I always do the cleaning, bathe the children and wash their clothes because I am always at home.

I was a music director, she ruined my business because she used to accuse me of dating the women who came to my studio, so they stopped coming and business crumbled.
"I am also fed up with the union."
The case has been adjourned until May 16 for further hearing.

The only question I want to ask is - What about the children?
