President Mohammadu Buhari was absent from the Friday Jumat prayers held at the Aso Rock Mosque today.
It is the first time the president will miss the congregational prayers, since he returned to the country after his 49- day medical leave in UK.
However, some of the governors and government functionaries who usually prayed alongside the president observed the Jumat in the presidential mosque.
President Buhari in two weeks has failed to attend the Federal Executive Council meeting and had asked the Vice president to preside over the meeting on his behalf.
On Thursday, Garba Shehu, the Presidential spokesman in a statement said, doctors advised that the president should take things slowly while recovering fully from the "long period of treatment in the United Kingdom."
He also added that there was no need for any apprehension over the President's health.
