The estimates which are from CNN affiliate BFMTV and polling company Elabe suggest that centrist candidate and former banker, who is relatively new in politics, Macron, secured 24% of the vote while National Front Leader, Le Pen, had 21.8%.
BFMTV and Elabe according to CNN also suggests that Francois Fillon and Jean Luc Melenchon secured 19.9% and 19.3% of the votes respectively, which means they are both out of the presidential race.
If the results are anything to go by, it means that France will have to decide on choosing between a Far -left or a Far -right candidate to lead France.
