The 44 -year old had collapsed on the club's training ground on Thursday and was taken to the hospital but died early hours of Friday.
England Coach, Gareth Southgate, expressed shock at the news and has paid tribute to his former team mate.
"I've spoken to several of our team mates today and there's just a sense of disbelief that we're having these conversation.
"Ugo was a credit to football, a credit to his family and he would be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him," he said.
Ugo's other team mates, the EPL and the football body has also expressed their grief.
