The likely location of missing Malaysia Airline MH370, which disappeared in 2014, while flying from Kualar Lumpur  to Beijing with 239 people on board may have been spotted.

According to the BBC, Australian scientists say fresh evidence has emerged regarding the plane's location. The plane is most likely located to the north of a main search zone.

The Scientists, after analysing drift modelling of a real Boeing 777 wing part, supported  December report of  a likely location of the missing plane.
Both real and replica flaperons were used for the drift analysis.

The location is an approximately 25,000 sq Km (9,700sq Miles) lying north of the zone earlier searched in the Southern India Ocean.

However, the Australian Transport Minister, Darren Chester, had said last year that  the December report would not prompt a new search since it did not give a "specific location" for the aircraft.

Australia, Malaysia and China ended the search for MH370 in January.
