Bird Flu Outbreak: France Slaughters 600,000 Ducks

In a measure to control the spread of bird flu around France, The French Agricultural Ministry has ordered the slaughtering of the remaining 600,000 ducks in France's main poultry region.

There had been a previous outbreak of the disease which hit about 300 farms.
The Ministry has said that better measures would now be taken to control transport and mobility of poultry.
