. Resentments of foreigners has grown recently in South Africa, many foreigners have lost there lives, properties and have their businesses looted in violent attacks by South Africans.
They claim, foreigners have taken over the jobs meant for locals, in a country where unemployment is above 25%. They also accuse foreigners of drug trafficking and other crimes.
Police were seen today during the protest trying to put the situation under control by using rubber bullets and tear gas on groups of South Africans and immigrants.
President Zuma and the Nelson Mandela Foundation have condemned the attacks.
