Do You Have White Marks On Your Nails?

It is very common to find white specks suddenly appear on your nails and most times, you wonder how it got there in the first place.The tiny marks medically is known as
punctate leukonychia and it is really nothing to be worried about. Normally it is  caused by trauma or stress on the nails.
Trauma on the nails, could be something less serious such as excessive tapping or chewing of the nails.
The white marks form at the bottom of the nails and gradually move upwards as it grows and if we  observe the mark, we probably wouldn't remember what caused it in the first place.The white marks sometimes may not be caused by trauma on the nails but could be as a result of  allergic reactions to certain nail vanish.
However, if the whole nails turn white, that can be serious, it is advisable to see a doctor. A completely white nails could signal very serious medical conditions such as, liver cirrhosis, kidney failure or heart attack. Also if  the white marks fall in line, it could be as a result of low level of protein in the  blood.
