According to Mugabe, "They want me to stand for elections, they want me to stand for elections everywhere in the party....The majority of the people feel that there is no replacement, successor who to them is acceptable, as acceptable as I am".
President Mugabe will be celebrating his 93rd birthday on February 21 and has been in power since 1980, he is Africa's oldest president.
His party has chosen him as their candidate for the presidential election next year 2018, when Mugabe will be 94.
