Public schools in the US were directed during the Obama -Era to allow transgender pupils to use  toilets of their gender identity. Although the rule was not accepted all over the country, critics believed that the rule threatened the privacy and safety of other pupils.
President Donald Trump, yesterday Wednesday cancelled the rule in a letter sent to public schools saying that the Obama directive caused confusion.
The President Of American Federation Of Teachers has called Mr Trump's decision  to revoke the rule protecting transgender pupils, a major setback for Trans rights.
According to her, "By rescinding this protection, the Trump Administration is compromising the safety and security of some of our most vulnerable children."
However, conservative activist have applauded Mr Trumps decision , saying it protected students right to privacy.
A member of  Students and Parents For Privacy said "Our daughters should never be forced to share intimate spaces with male classmates, even if those young men are struggling with these issues."
"It violates their right to privacy and harms their dignity."
