Lent Begins Tomorrow With Ash Wednessday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent for many Christians all over the world. Lenten season is a period of fast, abstinence and spiritual discipline for a period of  40-days, before Easter celebration
.
For Roman Catholics, Ash Wednesday which is the first day of Lent, is also  a day of fast, prayer and distribution of ash on the forehead.
The distribution of ash on the forehead is to remind the faithfuls of their mortality and it is expected that Catholics should attend mass to begin Lent.
