Army Takes Decisive Action On Soldiers Who Tortured A Physically Challenged Man In Onitsha


Just in: Nigerian Army demotes, jails soldiers that molested physically-challenged man

The Nigerian Army, Through its spokesman Brig.Gen Sani Usman has said that the two soldiers (Cpl Bature Samuel and Cpl AbdulAzeez Usman) who
maltreated a physically challenged man , Mr Chijioke Uraku in the streets of Onitsha, Anambra State for wearing military camouflage have both been demoted to Private after they were arrested, tried on two counts and found guilty.
The two soldiers other than being demoted to Private, will face 21 days imprisonment with hard labour and also forfeiture of 21 days pay to the Federal Government of Nigeria.The Nigerian Army has also reached out to the victim.
