Valentine's Day Banned In Pakistan

A nationwide ban on the celebration of Valentine's Day has been placed in Pakistan by an Islamabad High Court today Monday, with immediate effect.
There will be no display of adverts relating to valentine's Day on both electronic and print media in Pakistan. The court has also asked that the country's Electronic Media Regulators ensure the order is not compromised.
The order came as result of petition by a citizen who said that the promotion of Valentine's Day was against the teaching of Islam and should be banned immediately.
