EFCC Discovers Former Petroleum Minister's $37.5m (N11.75bn) Mansion


According to Vanguard Newspaper, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has made another shocking discovering
just few days( on Thursday this week) after recovering the sum of $9.2m from former NNPC GMD Andrew Yakubu in his Kaduna home.
A luxury high- rise building worth $37.5m (N11.75bn) has been discovered in Banana Island, Ikoyi area of Lagos State, allegedly belonging to the former Minister of Petroleum Diezani Alison- Madueke. The property is said to be a 15-storey edifice made up of 18 flats and six penthouses. The house is alleged to have been bought by the former Minister between 2011 and 2012 under the name of a Shell company.
Another building worth $18m also alleged to belong to the Minister was seized last year by the Commission.
The former minister who is under investigation for allegations of corruption and money laundering has denied all allegations levelled against her.
