Femi Adesina: "The Conversation between Buhari And Trump Was Cordial"

President Mohammadu Buhari this afternoon spoke with the American President Donald Trump over the phone from London,the call was on the invitation of the latter. The Presidential Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina in a statement said "The converstaion between the two leaders was cordial and that the President had congratulated Mr Trump on his election as United State President and that they also discussed ways, to improve on the fight against terrorism through making necessary equipment

 available".

Trump equally " assured the  Nigerian President of US readiness to cut a new deal in helping Nigeria in terms of military weapons to combat terrorism". This is the first time both Presidents will speak since Mr Trump's inauguration. President Buhari has also been invited over to the white House at his most convenient time.
