Court: Ex Custom Comptroller To Forfeit17 Exotic Vehicles to FG

The Federal High court in Kaduna, ordered the forfeiture of the 17 vehicles discovered in a ware house owned by the former comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs Services, Abdullahi Diko Inde.

The operatives of The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on February 20 in an operation, stormed  a warehouse located at Nnamdi Azikiwe  Street, Kaduna, owned by the Former Comptroller- General,  where 17 exotic cars worth millions of Naira were discovered in the premises. The cars are alleged to be proceeds of crime.
Justice S.M Shuaibu, in his ruling held that "the 17 vehicles which are now in the custody of the applicant (EFCC) and as properly described and listed in the schedule marked exhibit EFCC 2 attached to the affidavit in support of the application are hereby forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria in the interim pending conclusion of the investigation".
