Party Crisis: Labour Party Sacks Chairman And Two Others

Labour party, which has been facing some internal crisis, at the end of National Executive, NEC, meeting of the party held in Abuja , yesterday  finally decided to make some changes.
The National Chairman of the party,
Alhaji Abubakar Abdulkadir Salam has also been sacked over allegations of corruption and highhandedness.
The party equally suspended and removed from office  Deputy National Chairman - South , Mr. Calistus Okafor, together with the Acting National Secretary of the Party M. Julius Abure.
The party justified the move by saying that it was necessary,so that the part can strengthen and  re position itself, to enable it play its constitutional role as a viable, credible and vibrant opposition party in Nigeria.
Comrade Bobo Atare Aduo,(National Vice Chairman - south south) and Mr Oyelekan Akingbade have been appointed as National Chairman and Acting National Secretary of the party respectively, in the interim.
The affected officials have been asked to vacate office for the survival of the party.
