France Election: Candidates Go On Live Debate

The eleven candidates for the French Presidential elections went head to head on a second live debate in France.

BBC reports that, the  Far- right leader, Marine Le Pen, was attacked by Emmanuel Macron, the Centrist candidate. He said Ms Le Pen's nationalist proposal will resulted to an "Economic Warfare".

The only female  Presidential candidate, Le Pen, was also accused from the right as not being hard enough on France's membership of the European Union.

Francois Fillon, said that France needed Europe especially when up against China and the US.

Ms L Pen, said her Presidency, would better the lives of French citizens, she promised to strengthen French borders, scrap the euro, or else hold a referendum on EU membership.

Mr Macron, further accused Ms Le Pen of lying, saying that "nationalism is war."

Francois Asselineau, nationalist right -wing outsider, claim to be the "only true candidate for Frexit". He said if he was to become President, he would hasten Article 50,  a process that we start the separation of  France from the EU.

Speaking on security, Ms Le Pen said France had become a " university for Jihadist." A statement which led to angry reactions from the left wing candidates.
