The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a raid has discovered the sum of $9.2m in the Kaduna home of the former Group managing Director of the
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). According to The News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN), the money was found in the home of Mr. Andrew Yakubu .The huge amount (which is above 3billion) according to the EFCC, is the largest ever recovered by the agency recently. Mr Andrew Yakubu was the GMD of NNPC from 2012 to 2014 .
Mr Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of The EFCC had told a committee of the House Of Representative on Thursday that another N1.2bn was also recovered from a public servant, both recoveries have been made within just two weeks.
