Stampede In Angolan Stadium Kills 17

There was a stampede in a football Stadium in Northern Angolan city of Uige, on Friday as supporters stormed stadium gates, after failing to gain entrance for a first division league match between
Santa Rita de Cassia and Libolo. An incident which left 17 people dead and several others injured.
Reports say, the entrance to the Stadium was already over crowded, but as soon as supporters were allowed in, they rushed in and then there was a stampede. Some people fell down and were walked over and some who fell were trapped and suffocated many who died were said to be children.
