Bayern Munich: Philipp Lahm To Retire At The End Of Season




German International and Bayern Munich Captain Phillip Lahm, has made known his decision to  retire from active football at the end of the season.
The decision of the 33- year old, who joined Bayern at the age of 11 and has spent most of his entire career ( played 501 times) with the club to retire, came as a big surprise to Bayern .
He had earlier been offered a position as a sport director in Bayern, a position which he rejected. Philipp Lahm's career  in Germany and the Bundesliga has been excellent. He has won six German cups, seven Bundesliga titles, the Champions league as well as leading the German squad to 2014 world cup as Captain.
