The president on Tuesday sent names of two ministerial nominees from Kogi and Gombe States to the senate for confirmation.

The nominee from Kogi state is to replace the late minister of State For Labour, Barr. James Ocholi while the one from Gombe is to replace  former Minister For Environment, Ms Amina Mohammed ,who was appointed as deputy Secretary General at the United Nations.

Daily Post reports that, the confirmation of the nominees presented to the senate by the President, is not certain as the lawmakers have expressed their anger over the executive's decision to continue to allow Magu act as the Economic and Financial  Crimes Commission boss, notwithstanding being rejected by the Senate.

The lawmakers are accusing the executive of demoting the legislature and has stated that the nominees would not be confirmed until the President fully implements their decision.

The lawmakers, however agreed to step down action on the confirmation  for 2 weeks rather than a total rejection until the President implements their decision on Magu after the Senate President, Bukola Saraki intervened.
