Peace Corps: Dickson Akor Arraigned Over N1.4billion Fraud

The Commandant of Peace Corp was arraigned yesterday, by the Federal Government before an Abuja High Court over an allegation of
 N1.4billion recruitment scam.

Akor is being accused of extorting money from intending applicants who wants to join the Corps.

Although, the trial Judge, Justice John Tsoho, has granted him N10million bail and asked him to present two sureties who will deposit N20million. The sureties according to the judge, should also be resident in Abuja and own landed properties in Abuja
.
 Akor is to be remanded in Kuje Prison until his bail conditions are met. He has also pleaded not guilty of the charges levelled against him. The case has been adjourned until May 23 for commencement of trial.
