Several structures were demolished in Otodo -Gbame community in Lekki phase I, Eti- Osa Local Government Area, yesterday, by the Lagos State government.
The residents of the community, were shocked to see the presences of the Lagos state officials who stormed the area at about 8am, demolishing structures worth millions of naira and consequently rending about 4,700 residents homeless.
There are reports that there was a court order restraining the Lagos State government from demolishing structures or forcefully ejecting residents from the community.
