Pregnant Suicide Bomber Killed By Security Operatives




A pregnant suicide bomber and another woman have been intercepted by Security Operatives and members of Civilian JTF volunteer group in Borno State.


The two suicide bombers were shot down when they refused to  surrender and were making attempts to attack a security post.

A statement by the Spokesman of the Police command in Borno, Victor Isuku, confirmed that the bombers were shot when they made attempt to enter Maiduguri through Umarari in Molai near Damboa round.

" On saturday at about 20:45hrs, two female suspected suicide bombers of about 18 years of age, attempted to enter Maiduguri through Umarari, Molai  General Area  which is about 9 kilometres to the township.

" They were sighted by local vigilantes - Civilian JTF  and consequently shot dead by the Security operatives on duty."

The Spokesman of the National Emergency Management Authority , NEMA, in North -East, Abdulkadir Ibrahim said the bodies of the suicide bombers have been evacuated by the rescue workers.

A civilian JTF member was wounded in the incident that happened in the outskirt of Maiduguri.
Normalcy has been restored to the Area by the Police.
