Russian President Hosts Marine Le Pen, French Far-right Presidential Candidate

The Russian President, Vladimir Putin  met  the French far Right Presidential candidate, Marine Le Pen at the Kremlin on Friday.

According to CNN, Putin had stressed the "great  importance" of stronger ties between Russia and France.
Dmitry Peskov, President Putin's spokesperson told reporters that his country has no intention to influence the upcoming presidential election in France, but had the right to communicate with French politicians.
Peskov said "Russia has no intention of interfering in anyone's internal business or electoral processes".
Le Pen, so far is, the only French presidential candidate to meet with the Russian President, Vladimir Putin and has openly sought closer ties with Russia.
