The absence of the trial judge, Justice Mohammed Idris in the Federal High Court Lagos has halted the ongoing trial of the former Governor
of Oyo State, Chief Rashidi Ladoja.

The former governor along with one of his aides who are being charged for a fraud of N4.7billion, were arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on an eight count charge of money laundering and unlawful conversion of funds which belongs to Oyo State for their personal use.

The Judge was absent in court because he had gone on a one -day training outside the country. The training is said to have been  organised for judges of the Federal High Court by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria.
