Nigeria's New Immigration Regulation To Be Launched On Monday

Nigeria's new Immigration Regulations 2017, will be officially launched on Monday by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Danbazau. The new regulation
is to ensure better security and immigration in the country.

This was disclosed to NAN by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Immigration Services, NIS, Sunday James in Abuja.
According to him, "The honourable Minister of Interior Lt. Gen Abdulrahman Danbazau (rtd) will officially present the Immigration Regulations 2017 to the public on Monday,March 20, 2017.

The Immigration Regulations 2017, is a vital document that operationalises the Immigration Act 2015 and provides the legal framework for effective implementation of the Act."

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Act which was enacted by the National Assembly in May 2015 to Immigration Act 2014 contains structures and functions of the NIS in respect to immigration, passport, visas , deportation, resident permits and general immigration  offences.
