Police Refutes Report: Obasanjo Storms Out Of Event For Being Kept Waiting

A report that Former President Olusegun Obasanjo walked out of an event organised by the police went viral with in the week. The Police has however debunked the report saying it was totally false.

The Police though admitted that the event started late, due to exigencies of police job, the Ex president delivered his speech as the Special Guest of Honour, was patient enough to even pose for pictures and did not storm out of the event as alleged.

An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) ,explained that Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his usual fatherly manner and once being a uniformed personnel was in the hall and delivered his remarks as scheduled which according to the ASP ,the Ex President would've failed to do if he was angry as insinuated.

"The Nigerian Police would like to state clearly that it would never disrespect an elderly Statesman or anyone at all by deliberately keeping them waiting,"  he said.
