The former Governor of Adamawa State, Bala James Ngilari, has been sentenced to five years in Prison by a High Court in Yola, Adamawa State.
The Presiding Judge, Justice Nathan Musa made the sentence on Monday March 6 in a 75 minutes long ruling.
The Judge found Ngilari who was charged in September 2016, guilty of four count charges which he discharged him on one , which was on conspiracy.
The former Secretary to the State Government and the commissioner of Finance who were second and third defendants in the case were discharged and acquitted by the judge.
The former Governor , was sentenced to five years in prison without an option of fine, the Judge said the convict was free to choose any prison of choice to serve his term.
