Kenyan doctors have at last ended the 100- day strike after striking a deal with the government on Tuesday with a promise to look into their demands.

The doctors, who had asked for an increase in their salaries and a better working condition from the Uhuru Kenyatta led government, resolved to go on strike after negotiations failed.

The strike action collapsed the public health sector of the country leaving many Kenyans suffering, for lack of medical care.

Dr Ouma Oluga, head of Union of Medical Workers (KMPDU), said: " The strike may be over but industrial dispute is not yet."
