Ondo State government, having received the sum of N14.686bn bail out fund from the Federal Government, has set up a committee on payment of outstanding salary arrears of workers in the state from August 2016 to January 2017.
The committee, which was set up by the State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is headed by the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi and was inaugurated on Tuesday, in Akure the State capital.
The bail out is to enable states having backlog if salary arrears to pay its workers and the package comes with a 20 year repayment plan to the Federal Government.
Other members of the committee include: Head of Service, Mr Toyin Akinkuotu,The Accountant General, Mr Laolu Akindolire, Auditor General, Mr Samuel Adegoke,The Director of Central Pay office, Mr Bode Ajigbolamu.
Others are the Ondo State NLC Chairperson, Mrs Bosede Daramola and Mr Sunday Adeleye Oluwole, Chairman of the State joint Negotiation Council as well as the Chairman of NULGE in the State, Bunmi Eniayewu.
The committee also include, Mr Bayo Philip, Secretary Service Matters,who is to act as Secretary.
