There were reports within the week that the Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), may contest for the 2019 presidential election.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has refuted the report that he had any intention to contest for the presidency and vowed his unwavering support for President Mohammadu Buhari, in a statement by his Media Assistant Tunde Rahman who made Tinubu's reaction known .
He also said that the report of the newspaper who also wrote that Tinubu has selected three possible running mates for the presidential elections,was malicious and baseless.
