New Deadline For Vehicle Clearance In Nigeria- Custom

Owners of vehicles whose customs duty is yet to be paid, have been advised by The Nigeria Customs Service to do so by visiting any of the four zonal offices  to make payment ,on or  before April 12 2017.


The date was postponed from March 13th to Wednesday 12th, April 2017, to give a month grace to vehicle owners and was approved by The Comptroller -General of  Customs  Col Hammed Ibrahim Ali ( rtd).
Customs spokesman, Joseph Attah, disclosed that there are plans to commence an aggressive anti - smuggling operation to seize as well as prosecute owners of such smuggled vehicles after the April 12th deadline .

He also said vehicle owners who are not certain about the authenticity of their vehicles custom documents should confirm at any custom zonal office.
